Computational Cultural Textiles computer programming and visual design for middle school girls (forthcoming in Spring 2021)

This project spans four months and teaches participants about computer science fundamentals, visual layout and design principles through the study of cultural mathematics and cultural appropriation in textile design.

Music and Technology enrichment programs with Arizonans for Children, October 2019 – February 2020 (paused due to temporary facility closure)

This project is ongoing and seeks to establish a regular and informal extra-curricular programming for youth in the foster care system and their families. Before the closure of facilities, urbanSTEW held musical instrument experiences and computer programming opportunities for participants during weekends.
